Last Wednesday, we had the pleasure of trying out some of Fireside Pies' new menu items and boy, were they delicious. This mouth-watering dinner was to die for; let me tell you all about it! We started off with the Texas Peach White Sangria (well, my mommy did- I had some lemonade!). This refreshing drink was muddled in Texas peaches with white wine, fresh-squeezed citrus and liqueur. Just the right balance between sweet and sour, and makes you wish you were drinking this on the beach with a little umbrella in it! You know what I'm talking about…! Then we got the Roasted Texas Peaches & Burrata, which was wood-fire roasted Texas peaches with Burrata mozzarella, baby arugula, candied Texas pecans and balsamic reduction. Just thinking about it is making me hungry! This was by far the best salad I have had a in a long time, and I am a picky eater! We then munched on a pepperoni pizza before devouring the Texas Peach Market Crisp for dessert. The sugar-glazed roasted Texas peaches topped with an oatmeal pecan streusel and Henry's Pecan Praline ice cream was so good I couldn't stop eating it. You will NOT want to skip dessert this time. Yummy! If you're looking for a good meal, a date night out or just looking for a delicious summer peachy meal, go to Fireside Pies on Inwood Rd. or on N. Henderson Ave. Not only is the food amazing, the staff is also super kind and quick. They even gave me some pizza dough to play with while we waited for our dinner! Yes, it's that time of year again for some serious red, white and blue gear! In honor of, and in preparation for, the 4th, I am showing off two outfits I am totally obsessing over. These tanks are not only comfy, but they also show off my obviously masculine guns and are super fun and cute for the ladies. *wink, wink!* I got to go paddleboarding in my "American Muscle" tee and boating in my "Indie Pendence" tee. What a fun weekend! Plan ahead this year for some great photos in these tanks! Go get yours today- don't miss out! Find outfit details below. Check out @CampLight_Apparel on Instagram for the "INDIE PENDENCE" tank and so many more cute tees; or, go to their website to purchase these for your little ones. Shoes- Saint Bernard Sports Tetri Minecraft Red Sunglasses- on Instagram, @FJS_PopShop, or check out their website here! A cowboy's fight never dies; and boy did I learn a thing or two about that. Last weekend, I had my first real cowboy experience. The cows were brought into the ranch by the truck load (literally!). I watched and learned how to set up the panels from the loading ramp to the pins and pastures so the cows won't run off. I learned that bulls poop a LOT (sorry for the visual!). I learned that the cows are more afraid of me than I am of them. They're really not so bad and they love looking at me! Job well done…now it's time to eat a cowboy dinner! In honor of National Doughnut Day, I spent the morning at Top Pot, the brand new, most amazingly delicious coffee and doughnut shop Dallas has ever seen! I devoured a strawberry sprinkled doughnut, while my mommy was spoiled with the best coconut latte she has ever had and a blueberry cake doughnut. If you're tired of the same ol' Starbucks run, check out our good friends at Top Pot, in two locations: One right across the street from HG Supply-- 2937 Greenville Ave Dallas, TX and one at Hillcrest and Northwest Hwy-- 8611 Hillcrest Ave Suite 195 Dallas, TX You REALLY need to go here, like now! Happy National Doughnut Day friends! Cheers to good coffee, yummy doughnuts and good company.
