Last Wednesday, we had the pleasure of trying out some of Fireside Pies' new menu items and boy, were they delicious. This mouth-watering dinner was to die for; let me tell you all about it! We started off with the Texas Peach White Sangria (well, my mommy did- I had some lemonade!). This refreshing drink was muddled in Texas peaches with white wine, fresh-squeezed citrus and liqueur. Just the right balance between sweet and sour, and makes you wish you were drinking this on the beach with a little umbrella in it! You know what I'm talking about…! Then we got the Roasted Texas Peaches & Burrata, which was wood-fire roasted Texas peaches with Burrata mozzarella, baby arugula, candied Texas pecans and balsamic reduction. Just thinking about it is making me hungry! This was by far the best salad I have had a in a long time, and I am a picky eater! We then munched on a pepperoni pizza before devouring the Texas Peach Market Crisp for dessert. The sugar-glazed roasted Texas peaches topped with an oatmeal pecan streusel and Henry's Pecan Praline ice cream was so good I couldn't stop eating it. You will NOT want to skip dessert this time. Yummy! If you're looking for a good meal, a date night out or just looking for a delicious summer peachy meal, go to Fireside Pies on Inwood Rd. or on N. Henderson Ave. Not only is the food amazing, the staff is also super kind and quick. They even gave me some pizza dough to play with while we waited for our dinner!
